The Question I Get Asked Most Often

"How do you manage it all?"

• happy marriage & 6 kids

• running a medium-sized company

• writing online & working out every day

People are looking for the hacks, but I fear the answer is disappointing.

The secret to it all is that there is no secret.

The ingredients that got me to where I'm today are:

1) My wife

Within the first hour of arriving in Scotland in 2006, I met the most amazing, loving, genuine and hard-working woman who I'm blessed to call my wife. Without her, none of this would be possible.

2) Hard work

We don't have a nanny or cleaner. I have no talents. I'm not smart. I'm not rich. But I know how to work hard. I stay fit by getting up at 5 am in the morning. I run the business by having my life woven into the mission of the company which is providing care for some of the most vulnerable adults in society.

I spend time with my children & wife whenever I can: school runs, sports practices, family dinners, etc. The price I pay is working until 9 pm most days followed by cleaning the kitchen and working on the weekends. There's nothing special about it, just hard work and long hours.

3) An amazing team

Over the years I've had inspiring mentors and coaches (some of them online, some of them don't even know I exist). I work alongside amazing people daily who share the vision of a more inclusive society that values every life equally and offers equal opportunities to all.

4) A solid & evolving system

This system is not just about being productive, but also ensuring I stay true to the vision that I have for myself, my family and the business. It's a grind. But once you have a mission in life that fuels you and pushes you to become your best self, you'll overcome any obstacles on your path.
